There is a big case to solve for Dr. Marsha Roo and her team! Dr. Roo is a kangaroo and (obviously) lives in Australia, but a letter from her cousin, the mayor of Washington, informs her that someone stole all the hotdogs and marshmallows just the week before the 4th of July. Dr. Roo and the others immediately take a plane and arrive in Washington, but will they be able to solve the case in time? Dr. Rachel B. Wellner will tell you about it in the beautiful book Dr. Marsha and the Case of the Missing Marshmallows and Hotdogs.

I have already read a book with Dr. Marsha Roo as a protagonist, and I liked both that and this one very much. I say this so that it is clear right away that I am a fan of Dr. Roo's stories because they are instructive and enjoyable. In the present case, the story is well-written and invites children to participate in the investigation of the doctor and her team, which makes this an exciting book.

Above all, however, I appreciated that the author takes advantage of this story (in which the missing foods are not exactly healthy) to offer young readers some good ideas for having a healthy and balanced diet. Therefore, I must say that this is both a fun and educational book, which makes it a great read.

I have to add the book has some typos, but they do not disturb the reading too much.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars despite the typos. I do not think it has any negative side, and I recommend it to all young readers who love to solve a fun mystery and learn something valuable for their health. Furthermore, I recommend it to all parents who wish to start a conversation about healthy food with their children.
