The Very Hungry Beagle's Guide to Poop: Poops You Find on a Sniffari, or, What I Ate Before My Butler Could Stop Me! is a delightful children's book authored by Mr. Beckham, Lucky, and Peanut, dictated to M. Jackson. The book, illustrated by Ros Webb, stands out with its unique theme centered around poop. Contrary to initial impressions from the title, the book approaches the subject with a humorous tone, offering a perspective into why dogs, particularly beagles, have a fascination with poop.

In this book two beagles rate the poops of various animals. Animals like swans, hedgehogs, cows, chickens, and fish are subject to the beagles' critique. Each review follows a pattern, providing a description of the poop, followed by ratings for smell, taste, texture, rarity, all scored out of 5. The culmination of each review is an overall score out of 20, creating a playful and engaging evaluation process.

What sets this book apart is its ability to convey the dogs' perspective, allowing readers to understand the reasoning behind their curious interest in poop. The illustrations by Ros Webb add vibrancy and color to the narrative, enhancing its appeal for kids. The author, M. Jackson, succeeds in crafting a narrative that resonates with children, making the unconventional theme both entertaining and educational.

There is nothing to dislike about this book. This book exhibits professional editing, devoid of errors and profanity. This attention to detail contributes to its exceptional readability. The book concludes with a list of scores for each animal poop and the announcement of a winner, adding an element of excitement. I highly recommend this book to kids under 8.

This book is a standout children's book that skillfully tackles an unconventional theme with humor and charm. The collaborative effort of the author and illustrator results in a captivating and well-executed narrative that not only entertains but also educates. With a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars, this book is highly recommended for young readers seeking a unique and enjoyable literary experience.

Reading this book must spark a lot of giggles. This is an unconventional theme, but it is not strange to anyone who owns and walks a dog. All dogs love to spend time smelling poop quite thoroughly! This is a great way to introduce chidren to many animals and yes, their poop. After reading this story, you can be sure that the child will be aware of animal poop the next time they walk outside. Thanks for the great review! :techie-studyinggray:
