Something about the title The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop: Poops You Find on a Sniffari, or, What I Ate Before My Butler Could Stop Me by M. Jackson, Lucky, Mr. Beckham, Peanut was in equal parts disgusting and intriguing. I kept wondering how this could be a book for children, and in the end, curiosity won, and I ended up reading the book. Immediately, I could tell that it was a decision that I would not regret.

The book can best be described as beagles being food critics for all the food available for them in their locale- poop. The poop of various animals was reviewed, such as that of a hedgehog, a chicken, a bunny, swans and fish, and much more. It was honestly like a restaurant menu spree for the beagles, and it was entirely too entertaining. It was hilarious, not disgusting (thank God), and quick and easy to read. The reviews were elaborate, too! From the smell and taste to the texture and rarity, every box was ticked.

The illustrations were adorable, as was the font. I also found my reading experience to be very smooth as the language was accessible, making it easy for children to read. There were also no grammatical errors or typos, pointing to great professional editing.

There was nothing that I disliked about this book. I think it would make for a great bedtime story for parents to read to their kids at night. I rate this book a joyous 5 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend this book to parents and children alike looking to read some fun and silly books together. The book is adorable and makes you wonder about a lot of poop that you probably had not even considered before. Give this book a quick and fun try.
