The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop by Mr Beckham, Lucky and Peanut is a children's book with a lot of humour and information on different animals, how they feed, and their behaviours. The book is narrated by a beagle who explains in detail the different kinds of poop there are and why they like them. This beagle has also taken the time to grade the poops of different animals based on a certain set of criteria. For instance, fish poop has slimy texture and cow poop isn't all that sweet. It tastes only of grass. At the end of the book, the beagle gives us the rankings of the animals and their poop according each one's grades.

I liked this book for many reasons. The editing was flawless, which is just right for a children's book. The absence of typographical and grammatical errors made my reading easy and fast. The fact that a beagle narrated the story helped to make the book even funnier as I could hear the voice of an imaginary beagle in my head as I was reading it. I also liked the colourful, detailed illustrations on every other page of the book. I also liked that it was short such that children will not become impatient while reading it as they might while reading a longer book. I particularly enjoyed the part where Lucky and a chicken fought over food only for a sparrow to swoop in and eat the food during the argument.

I did not dislike anything about this book. For the aforementioned reasons, I rate it five out of five stars.

I recommend this book to children as well as adults who enjoy stories about beagles and their antics or stories about animals in general or silly stories. For those who get easily disgusted, I do not recommend reading this book while eating, right before eating, or right after eating.
