This is a very humorous book. I didn't expect to find comparisons between poops. This book describes the types of poop that dogs may try to eat or sniff. There is a description of what the animal feeds on, the poop's smell, texture, taste, rarity, and overall rating. The hedgehog poop is not very pongy; taste depends on what it has been feeding on; chewy and crunchy; and it is not very rare. Chicken poop is quite whiffy, a bit chalky, consistently floppy, and everywhere, and it is not very rare if you have chickens in your garden. Bunny poop doesn't smell much, is yummy, and is not at all rare. Swanpoop has the best smell, is gloopy, and is not rare. Possum poop has a fruity tang and is quite rare. Fishpoop is so stinky and pure slime. Catpoop is not pungent and is everywhere. Horsepoop is sweet and not very rare. Sheeppoop is so good; it is rolled into pellets, smells good, and is not rare. Goatpoop has a bit of a farmyard smell and is grassy. Cow poop does not smell much and does double texture duty. All these are described in detail.

The book has only 27 pages. This favors children, as they get tired easily. There are picture illustrations in the book. This enables one to view what the book is about and get a better understanding. The pictures are also colorful and will attract the children's eyes. It is an easy book to master because the ratings of poop are explained in orderly terms of what the animal eats, the taste, smell, texture, and rarity.

There is nothing to dislike in the book. The plot is well organized to favor children. There's the use of simple language, which can be easily understood by kids. All these positives, together with the perfect editing of the book, make me give this book a perfect rating. I rate The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop by M. Jackson, Lucky, Mr. Beckham, Peanut 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to children aged ten and below. It is a good one for children who like humorous stories. Someone who teaches kids can also read it aloud to them for fun.
