This is an interesting children's book. The characters in the book are Dr. Marsha, Terence, Lovie, Biff Beaver, and many more. Marsha received a letter from Milton Marsupial, her cousin, who is the mayor of Washington. The letter stated that animals were unhappy in Washington because all the hotdogs and marshmallows had been stolen. Mayor Milton was, therefore, inviting all the best and brightest animals in Washington to solve this mystery. During the journey, they saw the White House and the Washington Monument.

After discussion, they found out that Biff Beaver had stolen the hot dogs and marshmallows to make a house for his family. The animals pitied Biff's family and decided to come together and make a house for him using tongue depressors.

I love the picture illustrations in the book. This is very engaging to readers, especially children, because it makes one see what the book is about. The picture accompanying the few lines on every page gives a clear understanding of what is happening. The book is also short. This is efficient, especially for children, who get tired easily. The way these animals solved the mystery is unimaginable. They are very good thinkers, and this will challenge kids. The author also emphasizes a balanced diet for the animals, which will enlighten children toward good health.

There is nothing to dislike in the book. The plot is well-organized and appropriate for kids. The simple language is important for a better understanding of the book. The positives above, together with the perfect editing of the book, make me rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to kids ages nine and below. It is a beautiful guide to solving mysteries and nutrition. Anyone who teaches kids should also buy it as extra material for teaching. Dr. Marsha and the Case of the Missing Marshmallows and Hotdogs by Dr. Rachel B. Wellner is a good read.
