I found the book very eye-opening for the topics of Heaven and Hell. I like how the author puts the story in simple terms, so the children can understand it, and I think it would be a great addition to someone who is trying to explain heaven and Hell to the child. The graphics are really child friendly with a nice. I like how it encourages parents to believe their children when they tell them something, especially in this case for their children, explain experience of Heaven and Hell in their dreams. I did find the use of the girls names repetitive in the first couple of pages a bit annoying. The Bible which can be really useful when explaining to children who follow this belief. It was a nice book to read, perhaps in this book, there could be more references to the Bible.
On page 10 the text against the graphic it’s really challenging to read on a device so I’m not sure if you can make the colours lighter so the text to stand out better. There is a lot of use of the girls names in the text and I’m wondering if that can be a little less so that you can make it less wordy.
Lastly, Heaven and Hell should be capitalised because they are proper nouns. I see that happen is lowercase in all of the pages.
On page 29 after the word fire, it should be a. Not a, because Emma doesn’t speak again. It is her mum.
I now see the author has put comments after every spoken interaction, in my experience with editing, if the person has finished talking, it’s a full stop. I would go back and rectify this in the work because it looks wrong. Overall good read, and I think parents will enjoy reading this to the child.
