The book "Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids" written by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a story about a family with a mom and dad and three young girls. Emma, who is 8 years old, and Bella, who is 6 years old, get put to bed every night with Bible stories read to them and prayers said by their parents before it's time to go to sleep.

One night, Emma drifts off to sleep and dreams about being lifted up to heaven by angels, along with her sister, Bella. In the morning, Emma excitedly. tells her parents and Bella all about her dream and what heaven looks like. She talks about what it was like to see Jesus and God and the other people and angels who inhabit heaven and what day-to-day life is like in such a perfect place.

Emma visits heaven in her dreams several more times and happily recounts her experiences to her family. However, one night instead of going to heaven in her dreams, she sees what hell looks like and wakes her family up to tell them about her scary nightmare.

The parents have talks with the girls about the meaning of heaven and hell and how important it is to make good choices.

This is definitely a story that would appeal to parents of young children in Christian homes but I would recommend the children be old enough to handle the segment that deals with hell--both the story and the illustrations.

The illustrations throughout the book are child friendly and use both bold colors and muted pastels to make their point.

I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars . I think the authors are definitely trying to appeal to children but I found the book a little "preachy" for my taste. It is written for a certain audience and anyone out of that target audience might not enjoy the story and message as much.
