It is a suitable book for parents to familiarize their children with the concept of heaven and hell and what would be the result of doing bad or good things in life. Also it could be a good choice for reading to children before going to sleep. Generally, when I was reading the book I felt very peaceful and calm because of the author's way of writing and also the beautiful pictures. It reminds me of my childhood when I read religious books such as Koran or the bible, it is exactly how it was described there. One of the strengths is how the story of the book is connected with the pictures. Furthermore, it is a perfect book for improving children's imagination. I can call the book ‘dreamy book’. It was really very similar to my imagination of heaven and hell in childhood. The pictures on pages 12,14,18,22 are very beautiful and attractive to me.
Moreover, One of the best parts of the book was the section about receiving gifts from Jesus and how he was described, I guess it is a perfect way to teach our children about the consequences of actions. Also, I liked how the author wrote about the general fact that if you do a bad thing, after regretting it, god will forgive you. I totally believe that it is one of the main parts of teaching about religion.
In the end, it is good to mention that in my point of view, scaring children of hell in order to not do bad things is somehow cliche these days. The new generation doesn’t believe it, so maybe it is better to more focus on humanity and being a good human for the world to educate our children. Even more, it is recommended to write about what are the bad or good things such as telling lies, making fun of others, betraying, etc,…..
