"Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids," co-authored by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul, is a book that left me feeling somewhat unsettled. It attempts to introduce young kids to the world of faith and spirituality through a narrative that I can only describe as bizarre and disconcerting. It's a story that might not be everyone's cup of tea.

The plot revolves around a young girl's dreams of heaven and, surprisingly, hell. In her dreamlike journey, she encounters stereotypical Angels and even meets Jesus and God. The narrative lacks a clear and coherent structure. It takes a confusing and slightly eerie route to explore faith, often over- emphasizing the need for blind obedience and fear-based beliefs. This approach could leave children feeling uneasy rather than enlightened.

Adding to this unease are the book's illustrations. While some might argue that they're meant to be whimsical, I personally found them to be more disturbing than charming. They don't quite fit with the intended audience of children.

Moreover, the book's attempt to convey spiritual themes comes across as heavy-handed and pushy. It lacks the subtlety and clarity needed to gently introduce these concepts to young minds. Instead of inviting children into the realm of faith, "Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids" has a tendency to push them away with its fear-inducing messaging.

In a nutshell, "Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids" doesn't quite hit the mark when it comes to introducing children to faith and spirituality. Its focus on obedience and the slightly scary, eerie narrative, coupled with disconcerting illustrations, might not be the best choice for kids. Rather than showing the positive side of faith, the book tends to lean more towards fear-mongering, suggesting that disobedience leads to punishment, and there's no other way. It's not quite the inviting, faith-inspiring experience one might hope for in a children's book.
