"Stevie Tenderheart Books: Wait a Minute!" by Steve William Liable is the second book in the Stevie Tenderheart series, chronicling the adventures of the titular character, Stevie, as he tries to liven up bedtime by conjuring up a great adventure.

Stevie Tenderheart is a young kid with active dreams and imaginations; his bed is his favorite place to be, and he loves to snuggle with his doll, Ranger, curled up close to him. He loves his bed so much that he would love to take it everywhere he goes. It is not really that silly, he thinks; after all, he has taken his bed to the moon and tasted a rainbow with his spoon, but he can't take his bed everywhere he goes, and the weather's not right for another epic journey to the moon, so he decides to fill his bed with all of his favorite things, and the adventure begins. With every step he takes, Stevie encounters obstacles. Will he achieve his goal?

Stevie is a vibrant and imaginative character, full of life and energy, catered to appeal to the young ones. The ups and downs of his adventures make for an engaging story for kids. The story and colorful illustrations go really well together. It is accompanied by very bold headlines with specific words highlighted for emphasis to draw attention and make reading easy. It is well paced, and its length seems to be well suited for a bedtime story. It has a playful and ironic writing style that many kids will find engaging and amusing. The rhymes weren’t easy to spot sometimes, but I don’t see that as too big of an issue because the prose is interesting enough to make up for it. There’s a good message at the end about the importance of having a good night's rest.

This book is well edited, as I did not find any errors in it. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good bedtime story for kids.
