"The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop" by M. Jackson, Lucky, Mr. Beckam, and Peanut is a book that shouldn't put you off because of its title because it will make you smile and most likely laugh with how the author approaches the subject. You follow Lucky and Peanut on a sniffari as the reader gets informed of all the tasty possible poops they might encounter and where to find them.

I will be honest. This book made me chuckle a bit. I found it very interesting how the author turned the word "poop" into an educational resource for a child. The illustrations were very colourful and looked like they were painted, which will make a child feel relatable to them as the paint doesn't stay in the lines. They even include overall scores for each poop and give you a bit more information about each animal.

I found the illustrations perfect for the intended audience and fit perfectly with the content of the book. The authors used a lot of creative words that were perfect for the intended audience and will make children laugh as much as I did. I even learned something from this book, and that is that some dogs roll in poop! I found absolutely no errors and believe it has been flawlessly edited, which is a plus for me.

Surprisingly, I rate this book five out of five stars, even with the subject matter that I found strange at first, but the illustrations and the subtitle are what drew me in. I enjoyed the end and did not expect it, which made me chuckle yet again. I believe there was nothing to dislike, and it will be easy for children to understand and read.

I recommend this book to children who do not get bothered by poop stories with a touch of humour around the ages of four and eight.
