The book Snatched up to Heaven for Kids, written by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul, is about a family following the Christian faith. In the story, the family is made up of two parents and their three daughters, eight-year-old Emma, six-year-old Bella, and their baby sister. The family follows the Christian faith and the parents teach their daughters how to follow what the Bible says. One night Emma has a dream that she and her younger sister Bella are taken to heaven. While in heaven both Bella and Emma walk around with Jesus. When Emma wakes up she excitedly tells her parents about all the beautiful things she saw. Her parents are also excited by the beautiful dream that Emma had. The next night Bella has a not-so-pleasant dream. Jesus takes Emma and Bella to hell, so they can see what it is like. Emma wakes up in fear and also shares that dream with her parents.
The book has a specific message for readers, however, the execution is not very unique. The storyline of the family is not very descriptive which makes it difficult to find relatability with any of the characters in the story. Additionally, the topic of the story is complex and may be difficult for children to understand. Children, especially young children, may not fully understand certain biblical topics such as the afterlife.
The authors did a great job of citing biblical texts to support imagery and descriptions. It is important to support Biblical topics with biblical texts to strengthen the message of the story. Since the main character is also a child her language and the dialogue with her parents is easy for any child who is reading to understand. The illustrations of the book are very detailed and capture the reader's attention making it easier for children to enjoy. The illustrations are relevant to the story which also helps readers understand what is being described throughout the story.

This story is written for children and families who follow the Christian Faith. It is a great way to introduce the topic of the afterlife to children in a simple way. The book can also be read by Sunday school teachers as part of their lessons.
