"Snatched up to Heaven" for kids by Jemima Paul with Arvind Paul offers an introductory step to help talk about God, Jesus, and Heaven with your children. With descriptive text and simple illustrations, the authors lead young readers through a "virtual tour" of heaven and a brief glimpse into hell. Specific Bible verse notations help the reader to reference special specifically described areas. Personally, I would rate this book a 3 out of 5. I think it's definitely a fair story and would probably recommend it, but it leaves me with an average type of feeling. I liked the concept of the idea but I did feel like the flow could have been more engaging. Sometimes the repetitive combination of parenting lessons and etiquette examples that were regularly sprinkled in with the Bible lessons made the story line seem a bit lengthy. I'm not sure that the extended length of the book is truly appropriate for the age and comprehension of the young readers that this book seems geared to. Furthermore, while I understand the logic behind adding in a description of hell to warn young readers of the fear and dangers associated with following down the wrong path, that part also just felt a bit overdrawn.
In conclusion, if someone with slightly older children than are depicted in the story were looking for a more advanced way to talk to their children about God and the Bible, I do feel like this book could be a proper recommendation.
