Review of Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids
Assuming the book was going to have falsehood and religious lies. As the old adage goes, ”Don't judge a book by its cover.” However there's one thing I particularly didn't accept. Actually the author could've kept this item to themselves. In my life there is a understanding that Jesus wasn’t blue-eyed and brown hair. The author indicated Jesus has brown hair but not according to the Word.
This book reminds me of who Jesus is and how much he loves all of us. Sometimes we forget. However this story brings it back home for me by Emma's experiences. Basically all that is natural and supernatural a balance must be maintained. Emma realized this vital point at the end of her adventure. I am glad the author kept the story simple yet profound. Demonstrating to Emma, Jesus is love, merciful and good. Which too Emma and Bella receives from their parents.
Her parents play an important role because they listen, participate and have patience, when Emma explains her dreams. This is the best kind of love and trust. We as parents should try to practice everyday towards our children. Emma and Bella loves Jesus. This is why I think the author felt confident to keep the book balanced, by introducing Hell to Emma. The story is thoroughly considered. Letting the reader know that Emma has a foundation in Christ. The author was able to show the balance of good along with the "not" so good in people and the consequences.
The story begin when the father is reading from the Bible. Deep down inside Emma's soul wanted to learn more about Jesus. This is when God let the truth be known to Emma. While the girls slept Emma dreamed about Bella and herself being flown by angels to visit heaven. Emma would tell her parents about her reoccurring dreams. Emma happily indicated she and Bella loved their time with Jesus. Then Jesus showed the girls Hell. Emma was frightened, scared, didn’t like Hell and felt sorry for the people she had seen. Jesus showed her that He is way to salivation. Afterwards she woke up and told her parents about her dream. Emma wanted to tell people about Jesus. In the end Emma love Jesus more than ever.
I'm giving this book a 4 out 5 rating because the description of Jesus is what did it for me. It was unnecessary. I liked the footnotes showing the bible verses.
