Review of Snatched Up To Heaven for Kids

This book is a 4 out of 5, as it explains concepts well and sources the arguments used. The reason it is not a 5 out of 5 would be that it does feel like propaganda aimed towards children to convince them to convert to Christianity without properly emphasizing the importance of discussing with their parents on this matter. If this book put more attention towards the importance of the discussion between parent and child on these matters of faith, it would be a 5 out of 5, even for those of different faiths. This book is a great children’s book for parents to purchase for their child if they are already of the same faith, but if a child were to read this whose family is of a different faith without the parents knowing it may lead to problems if not properly discussed. This book would make for a good bedtime story book, as it is made up of multiple different sections which can be read individually or all at once. For sections which reference the Bible directly, they are accurately sourced and provide proper context regarding the source material. The book teaches concepts from the Bible in a manner that children can understand. The book shows respect to God by utilizing punctuation when referring to Him. There are no noticeable spelling mistakes, as the book is well edited. The book describes what Heaven looks like while referencing sections of the Bible. Throughout the book there are numerous discussions which consider the potential different viewpoints and questions that a child might have. The questions are answered responsibly by the parent characters with sourced information. This children’s book requires at least a grade level of 3 to be able to properly read and understand the contents of the book and is recommended that the reader is a fairly proficient reader before picking this up. There are illustrations which are relevant to the different parts of the story which can help children readers to better understand the story.
