Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a book for children about heaven. I love the concept of being able to share this very important information with children, however I was conflicted while reading it. I thought the authors did a great job referencing scriptures in the Bible. Although the authors did a great job at making this information, digestible for younger children, I would not recommend this book for readers younger than five years old. This book does a good job at helping visualize some of the things that is written in the Bible. This could be good as a learning tool for Sunday school classes.

However, my issues are the illustrations. There was very little diversity in the illustrations. There seems to be white-washing of all of the characters, which, could be damaging to the BIPOC community. It would be hard to a child to not see people in the illustrations look like them. It could unintentionally share the perception that heaven is not for all people.

Overall, I thought the book was well written, and would give it a score of four out of five for the content. However, please use updated and more diverse illustrations.
