This book talks about the Christian image of heaven and hell. It is described in a very simple yet literal way according to the Bible. Although it is a book for kids, this may not be suitable for very young impressionable kids who might get scared by some descriptions of hell.
As the language used is very simple, I found it very easy and fast to read and understand. My rating for this book is 3 out of 5. I liked that it went directly to the point and no extra information is added so it does not get readers confused with useless information. The author does not state its opinion so I consider the book to be purely informative in such a way that for readers who want to go deeper in the understanding of the story could refer to the chapters in Bible which are clearly indicated in the story.
To tell the Bible story, the author uses the dynamics of an average family day to day routine, so it actually helps the reader relate to them and somehow it encourages them to keep reading it all the way until the end in no more than ten minutes, which actually makes it perfect for bedtime. Or even for kids alone reading time.
Summarizing, it is a book which sole purpose is to indoctrinate kids into Christianity, by stating clearly and freely how heaven and hell are according to the Bible, this book is not a tale so I wouldn’t recommend it to someone who does not want their kids to learn about religion nor to anyone whose religious ideas are different to the ones on the book and who is very sensitive about this topics.
