"Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids", as the title suggests, is a children's book that outlines the concept of heaven and, briefly, hell. This book is meant to be read to kids by parents and makes for a good bedtime storybook. Snatched Up starts with a young girl named Emma who dreams about being in heaven with her little sister Bella and beholding sights the Bible talks about. The writing is relaxed and straightforward, making it easy for children to understand. While the book does have an easy flow, the premise does get a tad bit repetitive, every night Emma has the same dream about being taken to heaven with her sister and the next day, she describes her vision to the family while her parents connect it to the relevant Bible quotes.
While the book quite obviously encourages proselytism, it remains an excellent option for Christian parents to introduce their children to the word of God in a manner that isn't overwhelming.
The reason this book gets a 3 out of 5 rating is that: a) kids might find themselves getting bored of the same thing happening in every Chapter; however, b) the illustrations are fun and captivating and might encourage little ones to read the book.
The writing, as mentioned before, is straightforward, but definitely not a style children should learn to inculcate, i.e. the writing works for a storybook that one reads aloud to their kids. The book can do better in terms of engaging its readers but considering that its target audience is under the age of ten, it is reasonably well written.
If the goal is to introduce your children to the concepts of Heaven and Hell and instill the fear and love of God within them, Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids is a good option.
