Inca is a pretty little Siberian cat that lives in London. She has a nose for sniffing out trouble. She is known for her detective work and is also the head of a detective agency that is named after her: Inca & Company. She runs it with her other furry friends and family. The other members of the company include the cats, Fromage, Cara, and Monk. Also included in the fold are Charlotte, the hamster, Terrance, the dog, and Polo, a Pekinese pup. Together, they travelled with their human mom, Missy, solving mysteries.

In Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi, the fury members of the detective agency travel to the Korean Peninsula, where Missy is invited to join the judging panel of a baking competition. Likewise, they are met with mysteries that need solving.

The illustrations used in this book were great. I think that vibrant colours are quite attractive, and I think that children will gravitate towards the colours used in this book. The animals were a mix of beautiful bright colours, and the setting matched that, too.

I also like the overall story. I thought that it taught a great lesson about family and relationships. I loved the connection the author made between Inca's family and friends with the broken family they meet in South Korea. It made perfect sense that Inca would try to bring together a broken family since she valued her own family so much.

I'm not sure about the size of the book. I think that it may be a little too long for the target readers. I think that children generally don't have a long attention span, and I doubt that this book could be read in just one sitting. That's my only concern and the only reason I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Because of the length of the book, I will recommend it to kids between the ages of six and ten. I don't think that younger kids will enjoy the length of the book.
