Emma and her sister travel in their dreams to see what the afterlife looks like, the good and bad. With Jesus leading them, Emma begins to understand the important lessons the Bible teaches.

The book presents vivid imagery of Heaven and quotes The Bible with the depictions Emma sees. The authors do a great job with the story illustrations to bring the words into a visual format.

The authors took some liberty in depicting their own version of Hell in a children’s book. No biblical versus were listed as back up for the depictions like they had done for previous scenarios in the book.

I give this book 2 out of 4 stars and 3 out of 5 stars. It is just okay. I was disappointed with the liberty taken at describing Hell. I wanted to see Bible verses throughout the book in order to backup what now looks like someone’s opinion of Hell. I appreciated the other parts of the book that had the Bible verses annotated at the bottom of the pages.

The audience for this book is geared more towards parents trying to teach their kids about why they must be saved. This is a children’s book, but it is formatted more in a way for parents to have discussions with their children about Jesus. I would not recommend letting a child read this book alone, as more confusion and questions may develop.
