Dr. Marsha and the Case of the Missing Marshmallows and Hotdogs by Dr. Rachel B. Wellner is an educational children’s book that depicts the adventures of Doctor Marsha and her friends. Doctor Marsha’s friends are Terence the toad and Louie the lama. This time, they need to solve a mystery after receiving a letter from Doctor Marsha’s cousin, Milton Marsupial, the mayor of Washington. The festivity of the Fourth of July was approaching, and somehow, all the food, consisting of marshmallows and hotdogs, had disappeared. Will Doctor Martha and her friends be able to solve the mystery? Where did the marshmallows and hotdogs disappear? Who took them? What is the story of Biff Beaver and his connection to all of this? Can you guess?

One of the aspects that I liked about the book is Doctor Marsha’s answering messages for sick calls or the one from when they call to reserve flying tickets at the Air Kangaroo. It is like a rhythmic poem that made me smile. The similarity between a sandwich and Canada, Mexico, and the United States was also amusing to me. Example: "Canada and Mexico are like the bread in a sandwich and the United States is the feeling." Another aspect that I enjoyed was the illustrations by Irina Dringova. They helped me create a better mental image of the characters and action scenes.

I couldn’t find any negative aspects to complain about. The book has no errors. It is full of informative and educational facts, like the one that teaches that "Different animals need different nutrients from food in order to survive." The text is written in an easy-to-read and fun manner.

While reading, I noticed that Dr. Marsha and the Case of the Missing Marshmallows and Hotdogs was exceptionally well edited. Because I could not find any negative aspects and because the story was enjoyable to read and full of educational pieces of information about healthier food habits that I found interesting, I give this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to any child, parent, or family member who wants to read an educational and funny story about healthier habits when it comes to food.
