Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Christy presents the seventh book in the series about the incredible cat Inca and her inseparable company consisting of Fromage, Cara, and hamster Charlotte, as well as Solo and dog Terrance. As the head of the Inca & Company detective agency, Inca will once again participate with her friends in solving a complicated detective case. Although it is the seventh book in the series, the author made sure to provide a short introduction so that anyone who has not read the previous books will easily understand the essence of the story and plot. The story is told from the Inca's perspective.

This time, the journey leads the Siberian detective cat, Inca, and her company to the exotic island of Sri Lanka. There, he will make new friends like sea turtle Rani and baby elephant Meena, but also come to the center of the mystery of the missing antique sword from the museum in Colombo. Will the wise Inca and her friends manage to solve the mystery? Will the challenge of exotic Sri Lanka be too much for them?

What I really liked in the book Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat is the desire of the author to educate the youngest readers through an interesting story. Thus, readers have the opportunity to find out that the world's oldest living human-planted tree is in the city of Anuradhapura or that Anuradhapura, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The youngest readers will also have the opportunity to learn that cats and leopards belong to the same family of animals and that they are actually distant relatives, but also that they should beware of snakes. The plot of the book is simple and fun. The book is full of appropriate illustrations. The dialogues in the book are short and in the right places.

I didn't find anything in the book that I didn't like. While reading the book, I found only one minor typo, so it can be concluded that the book was professionally edited. The interesting and simple story, authentic and impressive characters, as well as the educational aspect of the book are really great.

The book Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat is a very successful blend of educational elements with a simple plot and an interesting story. The lovely animals and their leader, Inca, deserve the highest rating, so I rate the book four out of four stars.

I recommend the book to children aged 5 to 9 because the wonderful storyline is adapted to that age. I also recommend the book to parents as well as teachers, because the educational potential of the book will reach its full potential in joint reading with children.
