Review of Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat
Inca, Fromage, Charlotte, and Cara are a group of friends-cum-family cats. Missy is their owner, whom they also call Mom. They play, have fun, and live together as one big family. They also have a knack for solving mysteries and cracking crime puzzles and have a detective agency, "Inca and Company".
Inca had an ambition of being the best writer. She began writing a diary and compiled it into a book (which is what we are reading). She couldn't stop fantasizing about what a celebrity she would be if she rose to fame. She also wanted to be the best detective in the feline world, and she usually considered herself a smart cat. One day, some items got stolen from a Sri Lankan museum, and Inca saw it as an opportunity to unravel the mystery and prove the genius she was. Find out if she succeeded in Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi.
I loved how brave and daring Inca was, and that is even why she was the leader of the Inca and Company agency. Her ability to lead and unite the team is evident throughout. This is especially shown when she risked going into a dangerous forest to rescue Fromage. Fromage had thought that leopards were his "relatives" and decided to visit them in the forest in the middle of the night. He placed himself and others in grave danger, but Inca and her friends still went to look for him.
It's amazing just how perfectly connected all characters and scenes are. Each scene wonderfully leads to the next, and that makes this book an easy read. The characterization was perfect, and these feline friends are developed well such that none of them comes out as inadequate. I also loved the suspense and tension that was evident in the story, especially when Inca and her friends struggled to crack the puzzles.
There is nothing negative I can say about the book. It is a well-written book that is filled with adventure. It is also an easy book to read, too. Furthermore, I immensely enjoyed reading it. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars, and I don't see any reason why I should rate it lower. The book has no errors and has been perfectly edited.
The book is perfect for kids who enjoy mystery and adventure books that have both human and animal characters.
