Its Winter season. Inca and the members of her detective agency (and of course, their owners) travel to Sri Lanka, a beautiful island with a sunny weather, to enjoy some quality time. They succeeded in escaping the weather, but seemingly they could not escape from crime. A theft has occurred in a museum of the island, and it is up to Inca's detective agency to solve the case. Will they prove their competency in solving mysteries once again?

Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is the seventh book of The Inca Cat Detective series. I happened to read this book after reading the eighth one in the same series, and I would like to say that I am far happier after reading this one compared to what I read previously. And I heartily rate this with 4 out of 4 stars due to following reasons.

R.F. Kristi wants kids to adore animals, and I think she once again succeeded. She has created all the animal characters, their behaviours and interactions, and even how they (might) think to show how cute and adorable they are. The story as well as the language used are simple and suitable to the intended age group of 10-12 years. Since the concern was much on the animals and the mystery itself the travel details were minimal. But I think what is necessary was included.

What I liked most is the logical presentation of solving the mystery. Though this is a kids' book, she has not excluded the readers from having an age appropriate experience of solving a mystery. The editing was done exceptionally well, and I found no errors. I enjoyed the drawings very much, and I believe the readers will find them interesting too.

There was nothing that I disliked about the book, so I have no reason not to give the rating that I mentioned above. I recommend this book to children who love and adore animals, especially cats, and to the parents who have kids of the intended age group or even younger as the story can be read by parents to much younger ones while the kids appreciate the drawings.
