Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat (Inca Cat Detective Series Book 7) by R.F. Kristi is about a nosy Siberian kitty.

The diary starts when Inca and her family and friends are on holiday in Sri Lanka. Inca, the crew's commander, is ecstatic because she sees it as an opportunity to expand the crew's popularity beyond England and France. It is time to solve the mystery when Inca’s mom reads in the newspaper that a valuable sword has been stolen from a museum.

The book is well illustrated with bright colours that will appeal to children. This excellent introduction to crime fiction, like Dora the Explorer, emphasizes the importance of looking for clues and encourages children to be aware of their surroundings.

I loved the part where Inca was afraid of the elephant. She is described as bold, but seeing a large animal scared her. Every time Inca meets a new animal, a funny incident happens. I liked how this book taught children about many animals; there were multiple species discussed.

I did not like how the author used terms; some of them are difficult for a child to grasp, and because this is a children's book, the author should use more simple words.

Throughout the book, I only saw one error. The book is wonderfully well-written and edited. It has been professionally edited, in my opinion. Despite this one flaw, I give it a 4 out of 4 stars since I loved reading the book and liked the narrative. It was fun to read.

I recommend this book to people who love children's books and children aged 7–11 because some of the words used by Kristi might be difficult for them to understand, and older children might find the story boring. The book used sincere words, and no one’s religion has been affected.
