Dr. Marsha and the Case of the Missing Marshmallows and Hotdogs is the second book that I have read based on Dr. Marsha’s adventures. Marsha is a practicing doctor in Australia. Terence the toad and Louie the llama are other characters in this story. One fine day, Louie brings a letter for Doctor Marsha. It is from her cousin, Milton Marsupial. All the hot dogs and marshmallows in Washington, D.C. have disappeared. The Mayor is worried and asks for Doctor Marsha’s help in solving the mystery.

Soon, Doctor Marsha arrives in Washington, D.C., and opens the case immediately. The wise and witty animals all over Washington, D.C. are invited to help Doctor Marsha in solving the case. Will they succeed? Where have all the missing hot dogs and marshmallows disappeared? You have to read this book to find out.

Dr. Rachel B. Wellner is a certified general surgeon who has many amazing achievements to her name. The story was short and crisp. The author’s main idea is to teach kids about nutrition with a bit of fun included. The importance of healthy food and the avoidance of junk food are explained in this book. I enjoyed the colorful illustrations on each page. It painted the story vividly. It made me visualize the scenes much better. I laud the effort taken in drawing those pictures for the betterment of the book.

Enjoyment in life is necessary but at the same time, being healthy is essential. Dr. Rachel B. Wellner insists on that in a presentable manner. I could not find anything to dislike about the book. It was a perfect read. Though this book’s plot happens in America, people from all over the world can learn some important lessons for a healthy life.

I would easily rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The reason is for the author’s effort in teaching kids about health combined with colorful illustrations. The expression on each animal’s face was simply adorable. I did not come across any error, which gives me the liberty to say that this book was professionally edited.

Dr. Marsha and the Case of the Missing Marshmallows and Hotdogs is a perfect book for children. Junk food is increasing exponentially in this generation, and it has to be avoided. Terence the toad has a similar craving for junk food. See how Dr. Marsha changed Terence’s craving into something healthy and nutritious. Parents should get this book for their kids. It serves as a great educational guide.
