AC Michael's Mister Pushkin Springs Into Action is a collection of short stories about a cat named Mister Pushkin. Mister Pushkin, a feline troubleshooter or feline troublemaker, goes through a lot just being a cat.

The book has a number of distinct thematic stories. It chronicles the story of Mister Pushkin getting himself into trouble, both voluntarily and unintentionally. It's brilliantly written from the perspective of the cat. The narrative of his owners or parents, Klem and Emma, who are preparing to marry, is also presented through the cat's perspective which I enjoyed a lot.

There's no doubt in my mind that I didn't fall in love with Mister Pushkin. The author has done an excellent job with his writing style and has successfully made me fall in love with Mister Pushkin. This book contained 12 stories that chronicled Mister Pushkin's regular activities. I like each story, but my favourite was Tale 47- "Mister Pushkin Sniffs Out Trouble."

Without a doubt, the author deserves a lot of credit for this book. The writing was precise, succinct, and pleasant. The short and innovative description of the scenarios is remarkable. For example-"For several minutes, Mister Pushkin had watched two dungaree’d men with hosepipes squirting an elephant with water. He knew that Emma watered her sunflowers so they would grow, and wondered whether the men expected the same thing to happen to the elephant? Surely, it was big enough already?" I found it hilarious and loved it.

There is nothing in the book that I disliked. The book is properly edited and is error-free. I was first concerned that the lack of photos or illustrations would jeopardise the plot, but I was ultimately happy.

I give it a 4 out of 4 stars rating. Despite the fact that I do not own a cat, I felt as if I did. It was my first time reading a book with a cat as the main character, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and am eager to read more.

It is something I will recommend to all ailurophiles. If you don't pay enough attention to your cat or cats, this book will force you to do so. It is classified as a children's book thus, I would recommend it to the children aged 8 to 12.
