Our body is our first companion for life. We all are aware of this fact. Though kids are aware too, they sometimes get carried away with junk foods. At such a young age, it is very important to introduce them to the benefits and requirements of healthy eating habits for a healthy life. Storytelling is the most fascinating way to instill good habits in children. Dr. Marsha and the Case of the Missing Marshmallows and Hotdogs by Dr. Rachel B. Wellner is an adventurous book. It imparts basic health education to kids in a fun-loving way.

The author, a medical expert, wrote this book to especially instill good eating habits in children right from childhood. I loved the concept of teaching this valuable lesson by telling an exciting story. Dr. Marsha, a Kangaroo, is the hero of the story. The story begins when Dr. Marsha receives a letter from Milton Marsupia, Mayor of Washington. He invited his cousin, Dr. Marsha, along with her team to investigate a case of missing hotdogs and marshmallows. Will Dr. Marsha and her team be able to solve the mystery? What twists and turns await in this funny adventure? Explore the book to know more.

There is nothing that I dislike in this book. I loved this fascinating idea of the book to engage kids with health talks. The dialogues in the book are in rhyming form. This makes reading interesting and joyful. The stunning colorful illustrations add life to each scene. This proves to be a great visual treat for children. The author very well says in the beginning, “Vision without action is just dreaming; action without vision is just exercise.”

I gladly rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is a great way to inspire children to follow a balanced diet. Furthermore, the characters in the book motivate kids to apply unique ideas to solve mysteries. It encourages them to follow their imagination and think out of the box to prove themselves.

I would recommend this book to children within the age of 3 to 10 years. Parents of young kids can read this book to them and make them aware of a balanced diet. This book will prove to be a treasure in the preschool library.

The characters of the book are quirky, witty, and adorable. The plot is captivating and sure to entertain the kids till the end. The language used is simple, and the book is exceptionally edited. The author did an excellent job connecting with the kids. The catchphrase of the story as written in the book is snappy, “Do you have an ache? Do you have an ouch? The number to dial is I-MD-Pouch.” So, get ready for a healthy adventure and call Dr. Marsha!
