Serendipity Mystery by R. F. Kristi tells the tale of Inca, the Queen of kitties. She is head of her detective team. We find her formidable group of detectives in Sri Lanka, vacationing in an idyllic environment. Before long, however, they heard the news about the stolen antique sword. Detective Solo has been hired to resolve this heist, but would he succeed? What role would Inca and her team play in the resolution of this crime? These questions are fully answered as the story unfolds.

This book belongs to the children's genre. The story has been designed to appeal to kids who love adventures. I love the fact that there was no shortage of interesting and suspenseful scenes in the story. For instance, I feared for Inca as she came face to face with the long python in the deep forest. Many other scenes such as this made this book a pleasurable one.

The narrative is written in simple grammar suitable for a young audience. However, there are some instances of unfamiliar words. An example of this is 'blunderbuss' on page 10. This can be an opportunity for young ones to expand their vocabulary.

My most favorite feature of this book concerns the morals of the story. I particularly like the friendly disposition of the Mama leopard and her two cubs. Children can learn that it is good to be friendly to strangers. I also enjoyed reading about the harmonious teamwork between animals of different species. It clearly shows that our differences can be harnessed for good. I have no dislikes about this book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was exceptionally well edited. The execution of the story and development of characters were splendid. Moreover, the illustrations were bright, colorful, and attractive. Children between the ages of four to ten years would find the book delightful.
