Review by Devalsodha -- Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a ...
Serendipity Mystery by R.F. Kristi is a fantastic children’s book. The Super-duper cat detective, Inca, as she introduces herself in the book, is a Siberian Kitty. Inca heads a very famous detective agency in London. The company is involved in solving serious detective mysteries. The story begins with the cat detective and her team going on a vacation to Sri Lanka with her human mom. The detectives got involved there with the mystery of a stolen national treasure. While trying to solve this mystery, Inca got herself into trouble and found herself lost in the middle of a dense jungle. Will Inca be able to save herself from the wild animals of the jungle? Will she ever see her family again? Explore this fabulous book to find out.
The author is a passionate animal lover who wrote the Inca book series to motivate kids to love and care for animals. The book is packed with enthusiastic characters including Inca’s cat siblings, two dogs, and a hamster. There are two more charming characters in the story, a young elephant and a turtle. They were Inca's new local friends who helped them to solve the mystery. The book starts with Inca interestingly introducing her detective team and family members. She mentions the stunning qualities of each member. This makes the reader fall in love with them.
I loved the way Inca introduced herself as a super-duper cat detective. The confidence with which Inca carries out the task and solves the mystery is brilliant. Children at a young age fantasize about the animals talking and behaving like humans. This wonderful piece of fiction will carry them to a wonderland where animals are detectives.
There was nothing I disliked about this book. Many beautiful illustrations sprinkled throughout the chapters will help kids connect to the adorable characters. The superb description of the scenic beauty offers a visual feel to the story.
I am happy to rate Serendipity Mystery by R.F. Kristi 4 out of 4 stars. This book is a great inspiration too. It teaches a valuable lesson to the kids that we can accomplish any difficult task if we work together in harmony. The book explains the importance of making new friends. Furthermore, there are a few facts about the habitat of some animals in the story which helps to enhance the knowledge.
This is book #7 in the Diary of a Snoopy Cat series. I commend the author for writing such an intriguing story. There are absolutely no errors in the book, and it is an exceptionally well-edited book.
I recommend this book for children ages 6 to 12. The young detectives will definitely admire the cute characters in the book and fall in love with them. The language used is simple, and the narration is enjoyable. The story is interesting and at the same time introduces kids to the culture and customs of other countries.
The author’s unique storytelling talent is amazing. For example, when she introduced a fierce snake in the story, the language used by the snake was “thissssss.” This sounds like the word “hiss,” the sound of the snake. That's innovative. So, get ready to solve the mystery with the awesome detective Kitty.
