Inca is a cat on a mission. After a robbery takes place at a local museum where Inca and her family are vacationing, she decides to take up the challenge and try catching the thieves. Her family: Fromage (brother), Cara (sister), and Charlotte (friend), join her on this journey. Together they embark on an adventurous journey through a treacherous forest filled with dangerous animals. They seek help from local animals as they follow evidence left by the thieves.

Written as entries in Inca's journal, the narration allows the reader a front-seat experience of the adventures as seen through Inca's eyes. The author, R.F. Kristi, communicates Inca's thoughts and feelings in a way that includes the reader as part of the action.

Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat is a great book for children between the ages of six and nine years. It could also make a great bedtime story for younger children to be read to in tiny installments.

I loved that the book remains a story in itself, even though it is a part of a long series. Being the seventh book in the series, I expected a lot of referrals to the previous stories, but that was not the case. Having read one other book in the series, I can confidently say that each book can be enjoyed as a standalone.

I loved the illustrations by Jorge Valle. The cover is colorful, depicting a fun read, and the images within show a clear representation of the characters.

I found the story more than satisfactory in many aspects. Accordingly, I rate it at 4 out of 4 stars. I found no errors in the writing or editing of the book. Kristi did a great job of providing a great, fun read, as well as an informational one. The children will have fun discovering Sri Lanka and all its treasures.

I agree with you. I found to be quite long and would make a great addition to bedtime stories.
