Review by FaithMO19 -- Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a S...
Inca and her siblings accompany their mom to the sunny island of Sri Lanka for a luxury vacation. While enjoying their holiday, Inca and her detective team help recover the valuable goods stealthily stolen from the prominent museum in Colombo and triumphantly bring the responsible criminals to justice.
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi follows the story of Inca and her detective agency as they investigate crimes and unravel mysteries. Although it is the seventh book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.
I appreciate the effort the author put into including cultural information about Sri Lanka in the book. It indicates she conducted adequate research while writing it. Information about Anuradhapura, the city that houses the world's oldest living human-planted tree, is useful knowledge to readers. The illustrations present in the book aid its comprehension, and it also makes the book more appealing to the children. Another commendable feature of this book is the author's presentation of the animals to the audience. She does a high-grade job of accurately describing their emotions, thoughts, and actions. Their relationships and interactions with one another make them appear likable and charming.
Although I encountered a few errors while reading, I can still conclude a professional edited it because the errors were minimal and did not affect readability. Profanities and erotic contents are absent from this lovely book, so it is suitable for its specific target audience.
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat is about how Inca and her detective agency assist in apprehending offenders while having fun and forming meaningful relationships. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars because it is absorbing and engaging. I dislike nothing about it, so I recommend it to children withing the ages of 7 to 12 years.
