Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Christi is the seventh children’s book in the Inca Cat Detective Series. Inca, the Siberian detective cat, is the queen of kitties. She heads a detective agency called Inca & Company. The team is involved in solving some serious detective mysteries; its fame has spread beyond London. Other members of the team are Inca's siblings, an intelligent hamster, and two remarkable dogs.

While on vacation with Inca's human mom, their feet had barely touched the sandy beaches of Sri Lanka when the agency learned of a robbery. Some imposters had stolen an ancient sword and other valuables from a local museum. New friends - the baby elephant named Meena and the turtle named Rani are excited to help the team with the investigation. They all embark on another task to unravel the mystery surrounding the stolen artifacts. Did the group of animal detectives accomplish the task of finding the culprits? Did they recover the stolen items?

This first-person narrative is captured in a language that kids can understand. Since it's a quick read, it will help to sustain children's attention since they appear to have a short attention span. Children will also find it relatable because it is entertaining. Kids will learn about the fun facts and cultural experiences of locations like France and Sri Lanka through the pages of this book.

I like the fact that this book is standalone; readers need not read the other books to comprehend this one. It's interesting how the author cleverly added some advanced words into the story; it would arouse the curiosity of smart kids. The book's fun characters will also help captivate the kids. With colorful and brilliantly captured illustrations, it has the potential to inculcate many values in children. The book highlights themes like teamwork, kindness, friendliness, truthfulness, and more. Children will also learn it is not profitable to be dishonest.

I enjoyed reading Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat. There was nothing I disliked about it. The book appeared to be professionally edited because I found no errors in it. It contains no profanity or sexual content. Given the above reasons, I rate the book four out of four stars. I did not give it a lower rating because it will keep children entertained. I recommend it to everyone, particularly children between the ages of seven to twelve.
