Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat, written by R.F. Kristi, is the seventh book in the Inca book series. The book consists of 109 pages that are well suited for children. It also contains themes of family, friendship, and loyalty.

The book begins with an illustration and a short description of Inca’s family tree. It is written in a first-person narrative. The storyline starts in Sri Lanka, where Inca, Fromage, and Cara are on vacation with their mom and Charlotte. During their stay in Sri Lanka, they receive news that a valuable antique sword has been stolen from a museum in Colombo. The director of the museum tasks a famous detective, Solo, to find the stolen sword and some other valuable items that were stolen. Solo comes to Sri Lanka with Terrance, a dog in the Inca’s detective team. This case catches Inca’s interest. She and the team, alongside some new friends, investigate the theft. Will the mystery behind the stolen sword be unraveled?

I enjoyed the suspense in the book. R.F. Kristi did a great job describing the escapades of Inca and her team. I must say that the book’s compelling nature made it more interesting than some adult thriller novel I have read. The book teaches children to inculcate real virtues and that stealing is a bad habit. The characters in the book are well-developed. My favorite character is Inca. I love her inquisitive mindset. I also love how she led her team and looked out for every one of them.

I admired the positive messages contained in the book and the lessons it taught every reader. It taught values associated with the joy of having a family, making good friends, and working together to achieve one aim. Inca made friends with two others, Rani (a turtle) and Meena (an elephant). These friends assisted with the investigations.

There is nothing I dislike in this book. I did not find a single error as the writing was professionally edited. The book was nicely structured and written in simple vocabulary. The illustrations were beautifully colored, and they complimented the book’s storyline. Therefore, I am rating Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat 4 out of 4 stars. I would love to read the previous books in the series and share it with my younger relatives. I recommend this book to every child between the ages of five and ten.
