Inca, the snoopy cat, is on vacation with her family in Sri Lanka. While enjoying the sun and the beach, she bumps into Rani, a sea turtle, and Meena, an elephant. They become instant friends. But it isn’t all fun and games for Inca. She discovers a special sword and rare coins were stolen from a museum. Instantly, Inca puts on her detective hat. With the help of her new friends, she attempts to solve the mystery of the stolen items. Will they find the items and catch the bad guys? Open Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat today to find out!

Admittedly, it has been quite some time since I have read a children’s book. With that said, Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat today did not disappoint. I enjoyed this book and happily rate it a 4 out of 4. I give this rating for a few reasons. First, I liked how the author intertwined motivational messages into the mysterious plot. She encouraged kids to be brave and courageous and to not be afraid to try new things. She also relayed the importance of teamwork and how sometimes you need the help of others to complete a task. In my opinion, these are great messages for young readers.

Second, the author effortlessly included fun facts throughout the book. I think this was a fantastic touch. She made learning fun all while reading a mystery. For example, I learned some tidbits about Sri Lanka and different animals. I believe parents would appreciate this portion of the book, and children would have fun learning new things.

Lastly, I absolutely enjoyed the characters. Each had a unique and quirky personality. Fromage, Inca’s brother, had the biggest personality of all. He was definitely my favorite. The book also included charming illustrations of the characters, which made them that much cuter and even more loveable. I believe any kid would be excited to meet an elephant, sea turtle, leopards, and even a naughty python.

In conclusion, Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat today was an adorable and fun-filled adventure. The story was witty and mysterious with facts and inspirational messages. It without a doubt deserves a perfect rating. As for recommendations, I would recommend it to everyone, including adults. Obviously, this book is geared towards children, but I believe it could bring a smile to any adult that is having a bad day. Additionally, I think this book has been professionally edited as I didn’t notice any errors while reading.

Inca – the leader of the team is a female cat. I think this book would be great for little girls to read. Nice review!
