Review of Opaque
Calix Leigh-Reign's compelling story "Opaque" follows unhappy teen Adam as he struggles through puberty, falls in love, and discovers he has incredible powers. Adam is introduced in the novel as moody, aloof, and unstable, with hints of a darker, more malevolent side in some of his thoughts and deeds. However, Adam's life drastically changes when Carly, a new student at the school, shows up. She initiates a reluctant friendship that develops into a romance. Adam sets out on a quest to find out who his biological parents are after learning he was adopted. Adam learns that he is descended from many people who have extraordinary abilities. When they band together with their friends to defend themselves and their loved ones from the Iksha, who are out to get them, this revelation thrusts them into a dangerous world. The book is broken up into multiple parts, each of which provides an overview of Adam's surroundings and the difficulties he encounters. Pick up a copy of Calix Leigh-Reign's book Opaque to discover more about Adam and the origins of his power.
The way in which the book explores individuality and self-discovery is one of its main advantages. Readers are given a window into the difficulties of puberty and personal development through Adam's sympathetic and captivating adventure to discover his biological roots and comprehend his newly discovered skills. The character development in this novel is among its most captivating features. Adam's transformation from a disturbed adolescent into a nuanced and multidimensional person is expertly portrayed by the author. He skillfully narrates Adam's development from a disturbed adolescent to a young man, attempting to make sense of his newly acquired abilities and the obligations that go along with them. Similar to this, Carly's character develops significantly as she discovers how to use her abilities and deal with the difficulties that come with them. The reader learns about Adam's prior traumas and the causes of his seemingly erratic conduct through his interactions with Carly and their friends. With several twists and turns to keep readers on the edge of their seats, the story is captivating. The fight against the Iksha, the revelation of family secrets, and the emergence of powers all combine to create an exciting and surprising narrative that keeps readers wondering right up to the very end.Because of the author's great writing style, a wide audience may easily read and comprehend the story.
There was nothing I disliked about this book; it was exceptionally well edited, and no grammatical errors were found. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
Readers who like young adult novels with fantasy, romance, and supernatural themes should pick up this book, in my opinion. Those who appreciate novels with deep narratives, multifaceted characters, and a realistic yet fantastical feel may find it especially appealing.
