Centuries ago, scientists in Russia discovered a group of individuals who appear and behave differently from the general human population. The perception of these people as a threat compromises their existence, forcing them to seek refuge in different places. Years later, fate unites two descendants under unique circumstances, setting off the quest to unravel the mystery behind their existence. As Adam, Carly, and the entire group confront the Iksha in pursuit of freedom, they must pay a significant price and endure hardships. Will they finally break free from the chains that have enslaved them for so long? Grab a copy of Opaque by Calix Leigh-Reign to find out.

Like many teenagers, Adam is experiencing a strained relationship with his father and a perplexing one with his mom. His interactions with the supernatural and his perception of other human beings trigger questions and curiosity within him. At school, tensions rise between Vikki and Adam, but the unexpected arrival of Carly injects vitality into an already overwhelming atmosphere. As JoAnn and Mark confront each other, the question about Adam's true identity emerges, creating a captivating storyline for this book. Adam and Carly join forces to unravel his enigma, only to find themselves ensnared in a labyrinth. Eventually, they stumble upon something that paves the way for more inquiries, intriguing discoveries, and adrenaline-fueling suspense.

I like how the author captures every scene through vivid descriptions and imagery. The depiction of the descendants displaying their supernatural powers, whether in moments of danger or leisure, evokes both excitement and suspense. Despite the formidable team of Carly, Adam, Sage, and others, tribal politics, fear, and personal interests stand in the way. Dauma and the teenagers must act swiftly if they wish to remain alive. The journey to Greenland demands more than just extraordinary abilities like flying, mind-reading, or other lethal skills. Inspired by the quest for freedom, they understand that this is not any ordinary mission!

The editing team did well; I encountered zero errors while reading. There is nothing I dislike about this book to deny it a perfect rating. I hereby rate this book five out of five stars because it is entertaining. I recommend it to lovers of fiction novels.
