To all fiction lovers as I am, who enjoy reading a good piece of fiction. I introduce you to Opaque by Calix Leigh-Reign. It's the introductory book in a series of fiction novels.

In the story, Adam is a teenager immersed in his own darkness. He loathes everything around him besides his mother, who is the only woman or being he loves. But everything changes when he meets a girl who has just arrived in the city of Piure, California. Carly Wit quickly becomes the light in Adam's life. But then an accident totally changes Adam's life. And he is introduced to a new reality and ends up discovering that he is a descendant of Russian clans with supernatural powers. However, the gifts of these clans are being hunted by a criminal scientists' organization; an organization which, Adam and other descendants will have to battle in order to grant their safety and survival. And Adam will have to adapt his new identity quickly in order to protect himself and those he loves.

I have to admit that when the words "Amazon's best selling series" reached my mind, I grew very excited about the book; excitement which almost fell when I reading the first 100 pages of the book. However, from the hundredth page, the story started to evolve me and it really began to flourish in my mind, and somehow I started to perceive why the story is "Amazon's best selling series." Furthermore, this is a plot-oriented story. It's narrated from the first-person point of view; although it shifts from character to character. The characters were very well developed, and I was left with the impression that their development isn't over yet. So, we may expect to see more development in the following books of the series. I also liked the appearance of the book, the cover, the way the chapters are organized and the images. It all conveys professionalism, and add a special tone to the story.

I personally didn't find anything to dislike about the story; I really enjoyed a lot reading the story. Moreover, the story does contain instances of profanity. Although they are not excessive, when joint with the violence and sex scenes portrayed, makes this story inappropriate to a younger audience. I believe it's suitable for an audience above seventeen years old. It also doesn’t offend any kind of religion. I recommend this piece of fiction for fiction lovers.

Therefore, I found mistakes which I thought should have been easily noticed and correct. And for that, I am forced to downgrade the maximum rate and rate this book with 3 out of 4 stars .
