Opaque by Calix Leign-Reign was a very interesting read. She takes us on a Journey to tell us Adam's story which is that of typical high school boy until he meets a girl who changes the way he views life and other people and learns how to appreciate them.

At the begginning of the book we see Adam going through what most of people probably go through at that age.Hating school, resenting everyone and dealing with insecurities. That is until the new girl(Carly) at his school enters his life. Her love for him makes him more positive about life and He feels like she is the Light in his darkness.

Carly makes Adam aware of this other side of him that he had no idea about. She makes him aware of his powers and hers as well. With that in common their bond becomes even stronger. He meets her Mother and other descendants and that is where He finds out he he is the last of his family bloddline and from there its discovery after discovery.

They now must fight the Iksha to defend their bloodlines from being rendered extinct.
As much Adam wants to be Carly's hero and not let her fight. It is refreshing the way Carly is portrayed as an independant, strong young Lady who can stand up and fight for her self but also knows when to work with others to achevé their goals.

What I love most about this book is the way we saw the growth in Adam from the boy filled with doubt, hatred and so much darkness to someone who appreciates other people and even fights for those he loves, even to his Relationship with his Mother. In the beginning I found it really weird and creapy the way He was sexually fantasizing about his Mother but as you continue to read, you get to understand why that is so.I really don't have anything negative to say about this book and because of that I rate it 4 out of 4 stars
