OPAQUE by CĀLIX LEIGH-REIGN

Opaque is book one of the scion saga series about a sixteen years old boy named Adam. Always feeling out of place, Adam's only comfort was his mother and he had the worst and most awkward relationship with his father.

Everything changes when Adam meets a girl named Carly with whom he has an instant connection. Forming a bond with this girl was difficult for Adam because he had been an introvert all his life, but the moment the two grow fond of each other they become inseparable.

As time goes by Carly discovers a dark past Adam has been keeping from her. At the same time he discovers information about himself that could change his life forever. With the discovery of this new information, Adam has so many questions of which no one has answers to. All but Carly.

Adam's new discovery strains the most important relationships in his life and he decides to embark on a journey to self discovery with help from Carly.

On this journey, Adam goes through a rollercoaster of emotions. One part of him is really excited about who he is and his new discoveries more because Carly gets to be a part of it, but he also discovers very painful information which could determine how the rest of his life will be. Either facing the reason why his life was the it was or running and hiding for the rest of his life.

I enjoyed myself reading this book because with every chapter I read I wanted to know more. I love everything about it, the mystery, the action and the romance. I felt like I was part of it.

The book was exceptionally written in such a way that I got to use all my senses. With every action and intensity, my imagination went wild. I must say this is one of the the few books I can read over and over again and still feel the same thrill and excitement I did when I first read it.

The book was well edited, I did come across few unnecessary spacing e.g on page 142 line 12 but other than that, the grammar was magnificent, no typos, the description was very detailed and I love every minute of it. There were minimal errors of which I've already mentioned.

I would recommend this book to everyone mostly teenagers. Whether you're into fiction, this book is perfect for you and if you aren't into fiction this book will make you think twice about not liking fiction.

The book is okay for every age group because it does not contain so many erotic scenes or use of vulgar language. On a scale of one to five it would be a one.

This book has made me want to read more and complete the entire scion saga, therefore I will rate this book 4 out of 4.
