Jihadi Hijacking by Eric Auxier is an adult historical fiction book which is the third in the Dodger series. It contains a different point of view on terrorism which explains, among other things, the reason why the Muslim communities become associated with different terror groups.
The narrator, Justin Reed, who is also the main character in the book, begin by telling us how his mother died in a road accident and the father killed by Pharaoh, an evil spy. He was then adopted by a CIA officer, Bob Cheney, who ensured that he acquired some basic CIA training to enable him protect himself against Pharaoh who was still after him. Using these CIA trainings, he stood up for the oppressed in such a way that, during one occasion, he fought a whole school football team whose leader was bullying a disabled boy. This earned him a suspension from the school hence forced him to accompany his adopted dad, Bob, to a business trip. At the plane, some members of an Islamic terror group known as WISC hijacked and took control of the plane. In collaboration with Bob, the two CIA agents fought six armed terrorists and rescued the plane. Justin Reed, acting as a copilot, assists Bob to fly the plane to an Israeli airstrip where he is later awarded Chief of Staff Medal of Appreciation by the Israel officers for helping in capturing a wanted criminal, Myanmar.
In this book, Eric Auxier addresses the world's terrorism and the need for peace by everyone including the Muslim communities. He further noted that most of the residents of Islamic states are uneducated which makes them an easily targeted by these terror groups. The terrorists feed them with the wrong information on the teachings of The Holly Quran. Most of the young residents of these states get dragged into these groups using misinterpretation of religious teachings especially the one on 72 virgins in paradise. In Thrashistan, Justin Reed found out that Muslims are indeed peace loving by the warm and cheerful welcoming he got from them.
The general plot of the story was pleasing. I could not afford to put down the book until I finished reading it; the vivid descriptions made me feel like a third-party observer within the novel who accompanied the characters throughout the story. Eric Auxier's characters were also well developed. This made me feel attracted to Justin Reed. The story was extremely unpredictable and full of suspense which made it very exciting and impossible to put down once I begun reading it.
On the other hand, I found the writings from page (i) to page (vi) extremely annoying, intimidating and absolutely unnecessary. If the author had to include the ratings and comments about the book, then it should be after the story and not before. The pictures of the plane cabin should also come after the story.
To conclude, the book was nicely written and edited. I didn't find any spelling mistake or a grammatical error. I give this book 4 out of 4 stars and recommend it to anyone who enjoys character driven novels.

Thanks so much for your positive comments. This is an excellent pick for you.Fazzier wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 03:06 This book seems timely as it tries to dispel the notion that Muslims are terrorists. I've really enjoyed your review; the flow and how clearly you state your opinions. You've just heightened my interest in this.

Thank you so much for your kind reply and for stopping by.daviddawud wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 14:47 I would love to read this book. I quite agree with most of the author's ideas. The issue of highly uneducated illiterate and teaching of wrong Islamic orientations might be the reasons for terrorists in some Islamic states. Great review you have written.
