Adam Stone, a handsome young man meets Calder Benedict who has everything right from beauty to wealth. She has never been in love before and with Adam’s entry into her life, she is starting to dream those dreams which she thought never existed. Billie, her mother is never someone she could look up to. Billie’s relationship with her husband has complicated things for Calder as she doesn’t know if Adam is the one for her.

One Way or Another by Mary J. Williams not only discusses the romantic life of Adam and Calder but also entertains the reader with Calder’s family drama. It is inspiring to see that the author has portrayed Calder as an intelligent woman with logical reasoning. The best example to describe her wit is during her encounter with Adam’s ex-girlfriend. She understands his ex-girl friend’s manipulative nature and determines not to fall into her trap. Calder’s caring nature towards Adam is exhibited when she questions him about his involvement with sketchy businessmen. Adam is portrayed as a very determined and hardworking young man, who craves for a serious relationship with Calder. It’s up to Calder to make the right decision about Adam. Would she realize the truth about Adam and give him a chance?

When you don’t have a mother to rely on, you naturally turn to your sisters. This is what Calder does too. She is lucky to have three understanding sisters. One Way or Another is the first book of the quartet and each book focuses on each of Calder’s sisters. Their mother, Billie, is a troublemaker but is portrayed as an interesting personality.

One Way or Another deserves a score of 4 out of 4 stars. I like how the dialogues are delivered naturally making the story look natural. The family drama is what kindled my interest to read this book. It is nice to read a novel in which the characters are sensible and not involved in anything absurd. Adam is presented as a great guy and I am happy that he is not given a bad boy image just like how girls like bad boys.

I would like to recommend this book to the book clubs. There can be discussions about each character and their motivations. I liked the plot twist and am looking forward to reading other books in the series. I like books that focus on each character and when the reader gets the amazing opportunity to explore the lives of each character extensively.

I have read your review of the book One Way or Another by Mary J. Williams. It is a family drama, a social story in which relationship description is focused. Sisters are the great blessing of God and I also have four in number. That's why I liked it most. Thanks for creating smiles on many faces by your review.
