A romance thrilling story with two main characters haunted by the demons of their tainted pasts. Both Anna and Rafe struggling to gain a grip of hope."I see a rainbow,".It finally seems to be getting better but one can never bet a high odd with expectations as the break us more than build us.The story is not about a knight in a shinning armour rescuing a damsel in distress but of two dark knights rescuing each other for survivor.

Anna losing all she held dear and now only having Rafe who is her anchor to sanity and a charming best friend Pat.Pat is struggling in his own relationship where his parents being on his throat now and then.Rafe is a lost soul seeking revenge and questioning everything but his true love.He relieve his abuse in his nightmares barely grasping air once his monsters cage in on him.Eric Dayton being the villain who we all want dead but who keeps the story worthwhile. The Preston's are Anna's living miseries all wanting to destroy her to pieces, leaving us questioning her first love for the boy she once believed to be her future.Matt is one character who is in various shades of dark his intentions unreliable.

Raging storms from the past destroying the light at the end if the tunnel.Draining the living daylights out of their souls.Secret from the past are unraveled in an open book no one knew existed. They say a heart never really mends after breaking and that has never been more true as stipulated in this book.I like how anyone can relate to the uncertainty of life and in an abusive relationship some pain.scars and wounds never really heal. One only has to learn to live with them and create good memories out of the horrible ones.Letting go is and never was easy, that's a truth clearly explained and we can all agree on.

This book drove me through a roller coaster of emotions:laughter, sadness, pain and tears drowning in each line with anticipation though the ending was very abrupt hence book 3.I can only wait to see the end.I understand that happy endings are illusions in a world we live based on my own experience. Will the relationship grow strong through the highs and lows even after confessions and unwanted truths are said?only one way to find out and that's reading it.

I recommend this book to anyone above eighteen years since it contains mature content which is a major play in this book as well as few cursive words. Its very relatable as we all have been through heartache and betrayal and its no easy road.I feel every word portrayed yet so fathomable in a world we live in where some types of relationships are questioned and love always prevails in the darkest of situations or so they say.

3 out of 4 stars cause the ending was a bit rushed, questioning much which i think is catered for in book three. Regardless,it was a great book. :tiphat:
