Review of the book - Devilish
The plot line about the Devil aka Lucifer landing on earth and romancing a young girl was interesting; however the book itself does not do justice to the term romance and instead can be termed as soft porn.

The story has many loop holes and seems to jump from one topic to another without really interconnecting. Most of the times it is about the sexual desires of the heroine, suddenly Elektra Pharmaceuticals comes in the picture and all these is transgressed by biblical mythology. In the end it is all wound up together in a muddle without actually emphasizing on any of them except sex.

The main character of Lucifer and Felicity could have had more depth in them. The mythological part could have been elaborated in detail and suspense could have been added to it. The sudden entry of Islamic terrorists in the tussle among the angels doesn’t gel properly. At least one or two chapters about heaven and hell, the reason of clashes and rivalry among the angels, more descriptive details about Casiri and her death would have added some mystic aspect to the story. Similarly the Elektra Pharmaceuticals part could also be interesting if there had been mystery about it. The virus could have been hidden in some remote place or something on those lines. Except for the devil part the rest of story is just a mix –match of already known stories/movies which are intertwined to make up a new one. Everything is so predictable.

There is so much of sexual voyeurism that a reader will lose interest in reading the book after sometime. All types of sex, oral, anal and normal has been described in pages and pages. Youngsters interested in porn will enjoy reading it but it tends to send across wrong messages about sex. A normal woman would suffer from internal ruptures or damage if she has such an intercourse. Similarly in one chapter sexual intercourse - as a form of punishment has been glorified, this again sends across wrong signals.

Except for a few typo errors such as followed spelled as fallowed, the grammatical part is fine. The language used is good and in some places it is crude and explicit. I am giving this book a rating of 2 out of 4 because I found the book very mediocre, tiresome and pornographic. However people who enjoy reading about sexual ecstasy, porn might enjoy reading it. But it not worth a second read.
