The Release Date of Heartaches 3 which was September 24, 2017 is the completion of the 3 series by H. M. Irwing and was published by Royalty Publishing House. The framework of the plot is in Melbourne, Australia and the book is broken down into 4 sections, and are listed below in chronological order:
- Synopsis (Summary)
- Prologue (Introduction)
- Chapters (11)
- Epilogue (Conclusion)
The Author described Anna’s dreams as fearsome in the prologue where Matt Preston, her former lover questioned her love for him which was a past memory. Rafe walked towards them through the corridor, violently attacking Matt and as blood spilled everywhere, Anna screamed. However her dreams did not unfold exactly as they did in her memories due to her mind being preoccupied with future thoughts. Anna was unable to discern between what had actually taken place and what was in her subconscious mind. She was awaken by Rafe from her nightmare. Despite the fact that all her dreams were inevitable of violence, she was contented as she finally decided who she loved more.
The Chapters of course, is the body of the book, consisting of microscopic details and more magnified view of characters personality and events in terms of roots, main points, climax, etc. It is narrative third-person style, written in a flashback mode. The chapters elaborated on drug abuse, gang violence, rape and revengeful acts.
In the Epilogue as the name suggests was the conclusion that ended the circle of the story. Baby Agatha brought the family together. Anna conversed with Aunt Bella as she stared at her reflection in the mirror on her wedding day, waiting on her escort Pat. The story ends with her kissing the love of her life.
What I like about the book is Anna’s character, even though at some point she ensued a love triangle resulting in blood sheds and tears. Throughout the book she seemed to be stuck in a love dilemma but she eventually made up her mind as to who she loved more or rather be with. Although I think she may be a bit too forgiving and trusting to a despicable human being who had put her through a traumatizing experience via deceit. What I disliked about the book was Matt’s restless love which some may find romantic, admirable and unconditional but it’s unbelievable how Matt had the audacity to beg for forgiveness and intimate love from someone whom he made into a rape victim.
What I love most about the book was Irwing’s choice of words appealing to the readers’ senses as the author captured the sceneries via the manner in which the tantalizing words were structured, teasing the reader to become engrossed:
.What I hated most about the book was the flashback mode of writing as it made the story line a bit difficult to follow and digest in some parts of the book. I had to re-read some chapters several times to ensure I understood.Temptation, hidden in the shadows, wields the power of the forbidden. The lure of the dark is as ever irresistible, drawing in its prey with wanton relish.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as I found no errors and I would recommend this book for young adolescents and older who enjoy romance, violence and sexually explicit scenes.
