"My trip to Adele"

3 out of four stars

The book was done by sibling's (co authors). They wrote a book in 2011,2014 in Arabic, it was not
excepted by the traditional publishers. They decided to translate the book into English and self-publish it.

Rome, Italy, where all the memories happen. Yon can't escape the city, you never get bored of Rome. He found his mind wandering far far away... into nostalgia. Still drawn to her, was it the mysterious love hidden between the walls of the glorious old city of Marrakesh? Or was it the contagious absurd city's famous El-Fnaa Square? The fortuneteller was from Morocco. The book has chapters with different situations that have one thing in common, to understand what they have in common, you have to read the book.

The fact that their were a few different chapters with different situations made it a little difficult to understand the story line. Throughout the story line when things got difficult to handle, when the characters in the story line put the radio on they seemed to relax.

I liked the way the book was written, it kept you guessing what was going to happen next. Each character had their own way of dealing with situations. Elias never gave up on looking for the love of his life Malika. At the end there were both negatives and positives.

What I most liked about the book is that Elias never gave up on looking for Malika, he followed her from city to city. The classic fairytale.

What I did not like was when I read chapter two for example the couple went through an eight year marriage. They were having problems, so the they sort a marriage counselor, however, I only understood the story line towards the end of the chapter.

What I did least like about the book
When Elias went looking all over for Malika, when he found her at the concert. That was the last time he saw her. When he left, he left all memories of her behind him. What a shame he went through the trouble of tracking her down.

The rating I am giving this book is a 3 out of 4. The reason I am giving it a 3 and not a 4 is because it tended to be a little "long winded" in certain parts. It was a great story line I would say this book attracts teens and upwards. I definitely think this book is worth reading.

I really enjoyed reading your review. I came to take a look at it because I just finished reading a review of the same book and it really sparked my interest! I love that your review is very consistent with the review I just read. I did see you also stated the book can be long-winded at times, which is exactly what another stated. After reading your review of the book I will say that I am definitely eager to begin reading this book. The way the lives of three individuals can have one common interest is very enticing.

I guess I have to disagree about Elias. Why was he looking for Malika when he had a relationship with Veronica? I'm glad you enjoyed the book and were able to give it high rating.
