Claire is your typical wallflower, overshadowed by a supermodel sister. One night, she made a mistake of sleeping with her sister’s fiancée, leaving her guilty of betraying her sister and regret for giving herself to the wrong man. To run from all the complications, she desperately seeks the help of Erin, a former model turned manager, her mortal enemy and long-time crush. She then was sucked up in the world she never imagined she’d belong.

First, I like that the story was refreshing and unique. It wasn’t like the usual story, it gives you a different view of the setting that is sometimes portrayed idealistically in some books, it’s realistic, and the characters' personalities are diverse and relatable.

I didn’t like that the story flow is rough; the transition from one chapter to the other is very confusing. It’s like jumping from one part of the story to another without linking the two or giving a little information whether the conflict from the last chapter was resolved or continued to the next. The phrasing is messy; there are parts or phrases that would be better if rearranged.

There is not much conflict on the climax of the story that makes it interesting, I think rather than focusing on the flow of the story, giving it a twist that makes a good climax and how it would be resolved in the end, the dialogue and interaction between the characters were given more emphasis, so there wasn’t much going on in the story. It didn’t help that there is a bit inconsistency on the characters' personalities that didn’t quite jive with their actions or thoughts in the story. The ending would be better if it was more descriptive, while reading, I cannot help but think the end was rather rushed and sudden.

Overall I give the book two out of four stars, although the story was unique, it wasn’t a story I enjoy much reading but I think some other readers will. The theme of the story is okay, I think it’s different from other adult genre I’ve red and it would be interesting for some readers but there wasn’t much going on in the storyline that makes it exciting. I think it would appeal most to young adults; it might have a good reaction to young women who are struggling with self-confidence and give them encouragement because the protagonist is relatable.
