Yesterday is a novel of reincarnation, by Samyann. This book is about a couple who under crazy circumstances come together, and even though they have just met, it seems like they have known each other before. This story is about Amanda’s journey in to uncovering just how she knows Mark, a man who she just met and she knows for sure that she has never encountered before, but it feels like she has known him forever. This journey helps her uncover the truth to who Mark was and helps her uncover truths about herself.

Amanda is this head strong sassy character who was perfectly fine working her job and living her life with her beloved cat Oprah. She had no plans to fall in love with anyone when she ran in to Mark. Mark on the other hand had different ideas the moment he looked in to her eyes. Both characters are head strong and know how to voice their opinion and neither are going to back down. This story is about love, present and past, that certain events that happen in your life, don’t define the entirety of it and a clock, which is what really started it all.

I absolutely loved this book, and I’m not just saying this. When reading this book, I became obsessed in trying to find out who they were in their pasts and fitting all the pieces together. At a point, this book becomes a puzzle with the reader trying to figure how Amanda, Mark, and the clock all match up with each other. I found myself saying, “awwwww!” Mark and Amanda are so cute in this book, I acted like a girl when reading this. How Mark stuck around and protected and cared for Amanda even though she kept pushing him away, had me cheering them on.

This book was just great and I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I loved the story line and the characters felt real. This story had a roller coaster of emotions from cheering on the couple, to wondering what is going to happen in the past lives and the intensity those scenes brought, to the detective work on matching things up, thinking you might have it figured out and then a twist, to even me wanting to try regression sessions.

I would recommend this book and I already have the moment I read the last page. I hope to find and read more of Samyann’s work if it anything like this. The crazy part is when I was choosing a book I almost didn’t pick it, but I’m glad I did and I will probably be rereading it soon.
