This book is not just about the love story between two people but also about the love between friends, family, and forgiveness. The story takes place during ancient, biblical times as two families live as neighbors in a farming community and support each other physically as well as spiritually and emotionally with all the daily turmoil of adventure, loss, and love. Ix’ises and Job have a very special friendship. As Job says: ‘It’s true Ix’ises. From the moment I first saw you, I knew you were the girl for me.’ Ix’ises was loved by Job from birth and their friendship and love story is molded in a deep, innocent, spiritual connection. They grow up and all the siblings find ways to make a living. Job also leaves to start working for the magistrate as Ix’ises finds herself in a very difficult position when the suspense starts brewing as to what would happen between Ix’ises and Job in The Legacy of Job's Wife by Cynthia J. Koelker.
I enjoyed how the characters developed as the story progressed. Much of the story focuses on the friendship between Ix’ises and Job. There are references to sexual intimacy as would be the case with any beautiful, sensual love story but it does not include any level of profanity. It is a great read. The author truly captures Ix’ises's heart and her struggle to find happiness. The Legacy of Job's Wife is a book that would impact your life and encourage you in a journey with faith and growing in godliness. This book was not only written for a female audience but definitely for all to benefit. The story is written in such a spectacular way that I could not find any weaknesses.

I must congratulate the editor for the immaculate editing. I rate this book five out of five.
